Junior Support Engineer
The Junior Support Engineer position is a client facing role responsible for maintaining a smooth running of the Ironfly system and ensuring that clients receive the expected assistance whenever faced with usability obstacles.
Develop a deep understanding of the front and back end components across Ironfly products and infrastructure, and their functions and capabilities.
Ability to understand, diagnose, and eventually preempt potential obstacles.
Identify and communicate the best solutions that will enable users to have a smooth transition back into normal activities.
Remain calm under extreme time pressure, balancing responsiveness with accuracy of analysis.
Provide support for the Australian and Hong Kong based clients, requiring availability during the early hours of the morning until the early afternoon.
Detailed internal reporting on all the frequent and significant software and hardware complications that emerge.
Assist the Development Team with product tasks and ideas that can be addressed during off peak times.
Possess the ability to easily adapt, grow, and grasp new concepts quickly within a startup environment.
Be comfortable balancing the mostly independent nature of the role, with the collaborative, team based nature of a small company.
The following technical skills are preferred, but not a prerequisite.
Linux scripting and cron
Understanding of cloud infrastructure (Ex: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Chrome Dev Tools
Near-native written and spoken English ability.
Ability to consistently produce calm, concise and insightful responses.
Attention to Detail
Analytical thinker and problem solver.
